Simon has previously been front man for a number of well known regional bands but he is now showing is true vocal talent as the lead singer with Retro.
His previous bands gave him lots of live gigging experience. His musical influences include Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding, Jeff Buckley and more recently Paul Weller. Simon also plays rhythm guitar. He is also a Graphic Designer |
Simon plays drums & percussion. He has played the drums since the age of 12 and was once a member of 'Band in Yellow' and 'Grifter'.
Simon has supported major acts namely, 'The Cranberries' 'EMF' and the 'New Fast Automatic Daffodils'. Simon's enthusiasm is contagious you will see this in any of his performances, his not stop energy lifts the crowd. Simon used a Pearl Export kit with Sabian cymbals and Japanese Oak sticks...cause it matters what you hit the drums with!! |
Lee is the youngest member of the band and has been playing bass since the age of 15.
Now in his twenties he has played with several bands, winning battle of the bands with his previous band "Sayne". Currently he his playing in Retro whilst playing in a band that does original material "Junkyard morning". |
Paul plays lead and rhythm guitars and sings backing vocals. He has played in gigging bands since the age of 14 and has provided support at Amnesty International gigs and for those one hit wonders, Doctor and the Medics.
Paul also auditioned (and sadly failed) for the famous 1980's Channel 4 music show "The Tube". When you see us live you will know what we mean when we say that Paul is a keen collector of nice guitars. |
